IN 2003 OUR STATION IN ULAANBAATAR, MONGOLIA was destroyed by fire. While station manager Batjargal (Bat)
Tuvshintsengel and his staff were able to continue
broadcasts from temporary headquarters,
they struggled for the next three years to rebuild
the structure... facing obstacle
after obstacle.
Last summer FEBC asked donors to help
us complete the WIND-FM building. There
was a strong sense of urgency as we were hoping to
complete construction before the harsh Mongolian winter
set in.
Today, we're excited to report that the WIND-FM
building should be operational this month! And the
entire building-- including two new radio studios, a chapel,
library, offices, and community center--is scheduled
for completion by December.
"My staff and I praise God for the outpouring of
support which has made the completion of our new
building a reality," says Bat. "Very soon we will leave
our crowded, rented building and move into our
new facility.
"But more than that, having this permanent home
will help FEBC-Mongolia reach even more people with
the Good News of Jesus Christ. We praise God for His
goodness and pray that He continues to use WIND-FM
to cultivate the hearts of the Mongolian people."
Stay tuned for further updates about the completion
of the WIND-FM building in the months to come. And,
again, thank you for your support, which has helped make
the completion of this facility a reality!
