Not an Orphan Anymore

ONE MILLION ORPHANS! THAT'S THE NUMBER OF Russian children currently living in group homes because one or both of their parents are deceased or unable to care for them.

When they turn 16 and must leave the orphanage, 90% of them will turn to crime or prostitution to survive.

Reaching these children with the message of hope and salvation before that happens is a goal FEBC-Russia pursues every day, through age-appropriate broadcasts, including programs for teens and young adults.

Since 90% of Russians listen to the radio, many people are tuning into FEBC broadcasts every day.

A Transformed Life

Consider, for example, the story of Oksana…one lonely, hurting child whose life was transformed by radio.

"I live in an orphanage in Khabarovsk because I have no father and my mom could not take care of me. She is sick because she is an alcoholic.

"I handle life in the orphanage on my own, even though I often feel alone. Every orphan here feels alone.

"But last Christmas I received a gift that changed everything. I was given a radio, and I began listening to FEBC. For the first time in my life I heard people talking about God.

"Jesus became my best Friend, and I became His follower: a Christian. I am not an orphan anymore because I have a Heavenly Father! Please pray that I will serve God for the rest of my life."
