DURING THE PAST THREE YEARS, the gifts and prayers of donors have helped FEBC support Feba, our sister organization, as they minister to the hearts of thousands of Christians in this war-torn country.
The broadcasts offer listeners hope in the midst of incredibly difficult and violent circumstances. Consider the words of Mazin,* who recently wrote to say... "Thank you for your kind words from a loving heart and for the wonderful book you sent. I’ve told other Christian families about you, and they were surprised to hear about your wonderful programs. I also told them that I started corresponding with you a year ago, and that you have become a close friend." Radio's Popularity in Iraq
Mazin is one of almost 21 million Iraqis who listen to radio... 75% of the population. Listener response indicates that many people of other faiths are also tuning in! The programs are immensely popular, especially among those looking for hope in this war-torn region. "The growing popularity of Feba’s programs in Iraq is just one example of the ways God used the gifts and prayers from our supporters in 2007," says Gregg Harris, president of FEBC. "It’s so exciting to see Christians and non-Christians alike touched by the truth of the gospel that is broadcast every week throughout Iraq."
Please continue to pray for the five-member team that endures dangerous circumstances every day in order to encourage listeners to place their hope in Christ. * Name changed for security purposes.
