Cagayan Valley Station Update

EARLY LAST YEAR, FEBC ASKED DONORS to help provide the funds to build a radio station in the Cagayan Valley.

This is a vast mountainous area in the northern Philippines populated by dozens of unreached people groups.

As a result of their generosity, FEBC has been able to move forward on building the station... and we're scheduled to go on the air this fall!

The Cagayan Valley is a remote area that is home to millions of people from 30 distinct language groups.

Local pastors and missionaries have long dreamed of sharing the gospel by radio in this region known for its challenging terrain. Unfortunately the resources had never been available.

But now God has blessed FEBC with the materials and manpower needed to get this station off the ground. When the station in the Cagayan Valley is fully operational, it will offer more Christian programming to more people groups than any other FEBC-Philippines station.

Project Status

* Permits have been granted to construct a new radio studio and purchase a transmitter.

* A lease agreement was recently signed for the property. Construction will begin this spring.

* Program production is due to begin in March.

* Training of broadcasters, programmers, and the listener follow-up team has been unfolding for months in preparation for the station’s inaugural broadcast in the fall.
