MASTERS AT MULTI-TASKING -- that’s a good way to describe the staff at FEBC-Thailand. They not only prepare and produce programs aired 18 hours a day in two languages, they also keep in touch with listeners who contact them at their Bangkok office.

Some are responsible for correspondence, while others visit the grieving, ill, and disabled. They also attend special occasions, such as weddings and graduations.

Here’s a glimpse of a handful of listeners who recently received personal attention from staff members Pittiya and Kittiya.P>

Spending Time With Auntie Sanun

When Auntie Sanun’s mother died, Pittiya spent a full day traveling to comfort her. They attended a church service together.

Later he escorted her to the local Buddhist temple where her mother, a non-believer, was cremated.

Auntie Sanun, who tunes into FEBC everyday, mentions the program to people who don’t know the Lord and faithfully prays for the programmers.

Encouraging Auntie Sroy

Auntie Sroy has been listening to FEBC for 8-9 months.

Her severe back problems make walking too difficult, forcing her to remain flat on her back.

Sometimes she becomes very depressed but keeps busy making mobiles, which she sells out of her home.

Despite her pain, her heart has been made strong by FEBC programs. Auntie Sroy became a believer by listening to daily broadcasts, and was later baptized in her own home.

Ms. P's Collge Graduation

While attending college in Bangkok, Ms. P heard some Christian songs on the radio. She’d heard about Jesus from Christian relatives, but wasn’t a believer.

Eventually Ms. P phoned FEBC and then visited the recording studios, where she met staff member Kittiya, who invited the young student to attend church with her. Ms. P eventually committed her life to the Lord and was baptized in 2007.

Not only is she a regular listener, she also invites others to listen to the broadcasts and attend church with her.

FEBC staff members Kittiya and Pittiya recently attended Ms. P’s college graduation, where they met her parents, who agreed to accompany their daughter to church.

Visiting Mrs. N.

Pittiya visited Mrs. N, who contracted AIDS from her now deceased husband. Her 13 year-old daughter is also infected.

Mrs. N receives regular encouragement by listening to the program This Life Still Has an Answer.

In spite of her health challenges, Mrs. N assists with worship services at her church every Sunday.

All of these listeners have felt the impact of FEBC’s commitment to reach beyond the microphone and be the hands and feet of Christ, offering compassion, encouragement, and friendship at a time when it was most needed. FEBC-Thailand is an excellent example of a ministry that is serving others, to the glory of God.
