MAY 26, 2008 WAS A RED-LETTER DAY for FEBC in Mongolia: it was the day we dedicated our brand
new WIND-FM Media Center in the capital city of Ulaanbaatar.
The festivities included a concert of traditional Mongolian music and dance and a banquet attended by international
guests, FEBC board members and staff, pastors, missionaries, and NGO partners.
Earlier in the month, community
activities such as radio distribution, evangelism, and children's activities also celebrated this special event.
Work on the new WIND-FM Media Center began soon after a 2003 fire destroyed the original ministry building.
A team of Finnish construction workers volunteered their time and labored tirelessly to create state-of-the-art
broadcast studios and offices, as well as a training center where future broadcasters will be trained. "I'm grateful for the many friends who helped make this rebuilding project a reality through their support,"
said Batjargal (Bat) Tuvshintsengel, director of FEBC-Mongolia.
