I Can't Live Like This Anymore

IN MARCH OF 2008, FEBC-Russia staff entered their Moscow office and heard the following message on their answering machine:

My only son died exactly a year ago in an auto accident.

He died at 3:45, and I’m sending this message at 3:45 a.m. I’m all alone in this world; I can’t even picture my son in my dreams anymore.

Your radio station is my only friend and the only thing that has sustained me during the past twelve months. You are my dear people, and I want to tell you, my son was a good boy; he was a good son.

But I can’t wait any longer; I’m desperate to go where he is. I can’t live like this any more. I’m terribly scared of death, but I see no other way out.

Please pray for me. And farewell.
Irina

Saved by Love

Later that day, our FEBC broadcaster shared Irina’s message on the air, expressing concern and prayer for her well-being.

Listeners called in and responded with an outpouring of love.

Recently, FEBC received a second message from Irina, who called to tell them that she is alive today because of the overwhelming love and concern she received from her fellow listeners and the host of FEBC’s program.
