A LONELY SAILOR SAT THINKING OF HIS FAMILY on the island of Sumatra. His job prevented him from spending much time with them, and he was concerned about their health and safety, as well as their spiritual well-being. The long hours at sea allowed him time to tune into the radio, where he listened regularly to FEBC programs. The broadcasts led him to the Lord, which brought him great joy. But he was troubled because his wife didn't know Jesus. He finally decided to record the programs and mail them to her whenever he arrived in a port city.
Over time she listened to the recordings, and her faith in the Lord began to grow. Imagine the indescribable joy when he learned that not only had his wife accepted Christ... but also his children, who listened to the broadcasts along with their mother!
Most FEBC programs are heard directly from a radio, but we're thankful this family discovered the love of the Lord through programs recorded at sea. They received the double blessing of a loving earthly father AND a loving heavenly Father. Get Involved
