ACCORDING TO A STUDY conducted by the United Nations in 2002, FEBC’s ethnic minority broadcasts in Vietnam and other parts of SE Asia are credited with converting large numbers of ethnic minorities to Christianity.

From “1975 on, conversion to Christianity became much more widespread [in Vietnam], aided by radio broadcasts in ethnic minority languages from the Philippines by FEBC, which aimed at spreading the gospel."

"Using the linguistic research by the Summer Institute of Linguistics and supported by evangelical groups in the USA, Canada, and Australia, the broadcasts turned out to be quite effective.”

This finding corroborates information that FEBC has received from listeners and staff in SE Asia, that hundreds of thousands of people have embraced Christ as their Savior as a result of listening to our ethnic programs broadcast into Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, China, Thailand and Burma.

“I tried to share the Good News with my relatives, but they weren’t interested. Then I received a radio a radio from FEBC and I tuned into their station. Day by day they listened to the programs. After awhile they came to me with joy and told me how God loves them. They know only He can save them from their sins. I thank the Lord for using FEBC to call my relatives to Him.”

“I listen to your broadcasts every day. Unfortunately, many of my people worship evil spirits and cause conflicts with others. But your broadcasts teach us to be better people and we try to pass this on to our children. We want our kids to learn how to love others and to love and worship the Lord. We pray God will strengthen you, and that you will always be able to broadcast to us.”
