FEBC-KOREA HAS A POWERFUL SPOKESPERSON working for them these days… and she’s not even on the payroll! Mrs. Soon Ae Kim is employed by Zion Construction Company, a business she started with her husband some years ago. Starting a Business... by Accident In the early days of their marriage, Mrs. Kim and her husband purchased a home with plans to remodel it. When their contractor reneged on the project, she turned to the Lord in prayer, and He assured her she could oversee the construction herself.
When she completed the 4-story house, she moved on to a 15-unit villa. Before long, she’d started a company builds large apartment buildings. But before anyone moved in, Mrs. Kim installs radios in every kitchen that are pre-tuned to FEBC. And whenever she has the opportunity to talk to her tenants, she encourages them to listen to FEBC. Personal Tragedy Leads to ChristIn spite of her zeal for Christ and her commitment to evangelism, Mrs. Kim wasn’t always a Christian. But when she lost her 2nd child through a miscarriage, her world suddenly fell apart. Several months later, she attended a church revival service, where she repented and committed her life to the Lord. From that moment on, Mrs. Kim dedicated herself to leading non-believers to Christ. Reaching Out to Neighbors
When she and her husband moved to Seoul, she visited 3,710 households in the apartment buildings where they lived, bringing her new neighbors soap and rice cakes, as well as the message of salvation. She also donated large sums of money to her church’s building project.
In 2005 Mrs. Kim received an honorary degree from Trinity Theological Seminary. In her acceptance speech she said she never tires of being a disciple for Christ. She is thankful to be involved with FEBC, and has dedicated herself to supporting the radio ministry for the rest of her life.
“My construction business allows me to support my church and FEBC, for which I’m thankful,” Mrs. Kim recently commented, “because my real passion is evangelism. I want to share the grace of God with others.” And that’s exactly what happens when her tenants turn on their brand new radios and listen to FEBC-Korea’s Christian broadcasts.
