Tuesday - 1

Praise the Lord that about 50 inmates in Chernovtsy, Ukraine accepted Jesus into their hearts after listening to FEBC programs in prison; they now have an evangelical church and preach the gospel to non-believers! Pray that many more prisoners will find freedom in Christ through FEBC broadcasts.

Wednesday - 2

"I became a Christian because of FEBC broadcasts…thank you! I love God and want to praise Him for the rest of my life. My parents are non-believers and they don't want me to serve God. They don't have any relationship with me anymore and don't even talk to me. Please pray that God will change my parents' hearts and draw them to Himself." - From a listener in Russia

Thursday - 3

Please pray for Oleg Bindasov, FEBC manager in Moscow, in his many office and programming responsibilities. Ask God to give him strength, wisdom, and favor in all his decisions. Also pray for Rev. Sergey Koleshnya, a Moscow programmer and host. Pray that God will continue to use Sergey to influence many listeners to believe in His Son.

Friday - 4

Please pray for guidance and strength for Rudi Wiens, director of FEBC Russian Ministries, in important ministry decisions, oversight of key personnel, and ministry development in new regions. Rudi especially requests prayer for the production of children's programming: "It is amazing to see how open children can be to the gospel…but it is painful to realize that most Russian children will not receive any Christian instruction."

Saturday - 5

Thank the Lord for FEBC's Isaan language programs, aired on 7 local stations in northeastern Thailand. One program is especially popular among construction workers, who often rely on the radio as a "close-at-hand" friend. Pray that interest in the programming will be contagious, and that many more workers will tune in and learn of the Savior's love.

Sunday - 6

Praise God for Noppakhun, FEBC-Thailand's manager, who is a person "of many skills and languages." Pray for Noppakhun as he provides assistance to tribal language producers and to other staff members; ask God to bless him and give him wisdom and discernment in his daily life and work.

Monday - 7

From grateful listeners in Vietnam: "Thank you for the Christmas article you sent. This was not only a gift for me but for many of my people whom I shared it with. May God bless you and continue to use you…so that the Good News will continue to be proclaimed!' And, "Thank you so much for giving me a meaningful Christmas gift. During the busyness of the season, nothing is more precious than having something that's comforting and nurturing to our souls."

Tuesday - 8

Thank the Lord for FEBC Vietnamese Ministries, and for the dedicated staff members who operate from the La Mirada home base. Pray that He will encourage and strengthen each one with a renewed sense of His presence and grace and they begin another year of ministry, and that they will share in the joy of reaping even more fruit from their efforts in 2010.

Wednesday - 9

FEBCambodia requests prayer for their management committee as they continue to develop their Master Plan under the guidance of board member Navy. They write: "Please pray for wisdom and direction for the team as they draw plans, activities and strategies for the year. We commit these to the Lord and trust Him to make them succeed according to His purpose."

Thursday - 10

Thank God for Patricia Napier, FEBCambodia's International Communications officer who recently returned after a 2-month home leave. Pray for her and for missionaries John and Remy Tan, who arrived in Cambodia with their daughter Janelle in October and have committed to a 2-year term of service. Ask the Lord to "strengthen them emotionally, spiritually and physically as they prepare for a new phase of ministry."

Friday - 11

Please pray for FEBC-Korea's special concert to be held this month in celebration of the opening of the Daejon station. They ask that we pray: "the event goes smoothly and that many will join in this joyful celebration. Pray that it will bring glory to God and help promote Christian music."

Saturday - 12

Pray for the concert that FEBC-Korea's Ulsan Children's Choir will perform this month. Pray for wisdom for the Ulsan station team and also that many listeners will attend. Pray especially that "the children will learn what it means to perform in Christ, and that they will understand God's purpose for them as they minister in music."

Sunday - 13

Thank the Lord for Feba's nearly 20 years of broadcasting Gaweylon (Good News) in the Tibetan language! The program is popular with a variety of listeners, including teachers, monks, army servicemen, farmers and students. Pray that God will continue to bless and inspire the programmers, and that the seeds planted will yield much fruit in His timing.

Monday - 14

"I listen to your programs regularly. Although we are not free to listen to foreign stations…people listen quietly in their home using earphones; in the daytime, some listen while tending their flocks in the hills. I like the Christian messages that you give-they offer us hope and peace." - From Tibet

Tuesday - 15

As Feba-UK focuses on communicating the gospel to unreached and hard-to-reach people groups, please ask God to clearly direct the management team as to which opportunities are from Him…and how to resource them.

Wednesday - 16

Praise God for this testimony from a Feba listener in Mozambique: "I would like to express my gratitude to Feba radio because your programs helped me to change my behavior. I used to drink and beat my wife and children; but because of your programs, I am now a follower of Jesus Christ."

Thursday - 17

Today is our Day of Prayer. Please pray for our FEBC-USA staff involved in: Management; Administration; Development; Donor and Ministry Services; and Finance/Accounting. Also pray for the La Mirada staff who serve in various international ministries: Chinese, Korean, Philippines, Russian and Vietnamese, as well as the International Center for Media Studies team, located in both La Mirada and Grand Rapids.

Friday - 18

Please pray that God will use Feba's Arabic program Happy Family to help Middle Eastern families understand His ideal for family relationships. Also pray that He will give wisdom to those who respond to listeners' comments and questions, and that this will open up opportunities for new relationships.

Saturday - 19

Please pray for Feba's winter shortwave broadcast schedule, which began in early November. Pray for continued effectiveness of the broadcasts even though several adjustments have been incorporated. Pray also for wisdom and resourcefulness for Richard Whittington, their frequency schedule engineer, as he resolves any issues that may arise from the implementation of the new winter schedule.

Sunday - 20

Praise God for two new programs launched by Chinese Ministries' Liangyou Radio in late October: a bible drama series and a children's program. They request prayer for the production team, and for the content and relevance of these broadcasts. Also pray as they consider "increasing the broadcast in languages of ethnic minorities. May God send us suitable workers."

Monday - 21

From the FEBC-Hong Kong team: "Thank God for the economical and technological progress that China has made in the last sixty years. However, the country is still facing problems like disparity between the rich and poor, corruption, incomplete legal system, and environmental pollution. May God's will and power be done and revealed in the land of China."

Tuesday - 22

An FEBC listener in China writes: "There are 120 churches here, each having hundreds of members… but there are only about 20 preachers and 30 volunteers total. Among them only 7-8 preachers graduated from seminary…" Please pray for China's churches: "May Jesus the Chief Shepherd raise up more faithful and wise shepherds…"

Wednesday - 23

Pray that God will greatly use FEBC's 2009/2010 Gift Catalog, which offers a unique opportunity to "support projects that help us keep our broadcasts on the air and lend a hand to those in need." Pray that it will be effective in inspiring our listening family to support one or more of the projects.

Thursday - 24

Thousands of people in Myanmar lost everything in the devastating 2008 cyclone. Many of them are still living in makeshift shelters with nothing but tarps to protect from the elements, while others have no shelter at all. Please pray for these displaced cyclone victims…ask God to use FEBC and resources raised from the Gift Catalog to provide funds needed to help families build suitable long-term housing.

Friday - 25

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son…" Let's praise God today for the precious gift of the Lord Jesus, and for the blessing of sharing in the grace of giving … of our time, our prayers, our resources, and most of all, of our love.

Saturday - 26

Praise the Lord for the Heartline Academy of Media, which FEBC-Indonesia established in Jakarta in 2003. Today, the Academy employs six full-time staff who have trained some 700 people in West Java, Borneo, Sumatra, Papua and Bali. Some students have even gone on to become broadcasters at FEBC or at other Christian radio stations in Indonesia.

Sunday - 27

FEBC-Indonesia's director hopes to train an additional 3,000 broadcasters over the next few years to fulfill his vision of establishing several new radio stations across Indonesia by 2013. Pray for his goal of saturating the country with the gospel so that more and more people will come to know Christ, and be encouraged to stand strong in their faith.

Monday - 28

Pray for Feba's plan to resume broadcasts in the Maithili language, which is spoken in north India and Nepal. Ask Him to bless and oversee details of program production in this ancient tongue, which was declared an independent language in 2003.

Tuesday - 29

"I am very thankful to the Lord Jesus Christ because He loves me and accepts me. Through your programs my life has changed-I now experience God's presence and peace within me." - Testimony from a listener in India

Wednesday - 30

Praise God for the Specialized English radio series, which uses a limited vocabulary at slow delivery speed to teach English as a second language.

Pray for the effectiveness of this twofold ministry: to fulfill listeners' desire to learn and practice English, and to introduce them to Christian principles.

Thursday - 31

From a Specialized English listener in South America: "It has been a pleasure to listen to your programs. Please keep on telling us about Jesus… people all around the world need to know Him-no matter who they are, what they do, or where they come from!"
