Wednesday - 1
Thank the Lord for FEBC's International Office (IO) team,
which works in many places and from many places
(Singapore, Philippines, Cambodia, UK, and Finland). Pray that He
will keep communication lines between members open so that the
IO's partnerships with FEBC's fields and ministries will be
effective.
Thursday - 2
Pray for Carlos, FEBC's International Executive Director, as
he provides support for field leaders as well as direction to the
IO team. Also pray for John T, Mike and David of the Engineering
Support team as they offer a wide range of engineering help and
technical support. Pray that God will help each one find the
right balance needed in view of the many demands on their
time.
Friday - 3
The IO asks we pray God will provide more engineers throughout
FEBC: "We have lost engineers for many years now without any
replacements coming in." Also pray for Arleen and John, who
assist in international recruitment. Ask God for real insight as
they process prospective missionaries.
Saturday - 4
Pray that God will bless FEBC's Programming Conference to be
held September 7-10 in Manila. It will be the first of its kind,
and will focus on 'Incarnational Radio' and the Bowman Signature
Project. Pray especially for Frank and Jan, who both will be
involved in the planning and presentations.
Sunday - 5
Pray for Russian Ministries' program director Victor Akhterov
as he travels to Moscow and St. Petersburg this month. Victor
will work with key programmers to help them effectively address
major needs in Russian society and lead listeners to Christ. He
writes; "Please pray for those who listen to FEBC
regularly...pray that God will move in their hearts to fully
commit to Christ and find a fellowship of Bible-believing
Christians."
Monday - 6
"Thank you, friends, for your programs! I'm a Christian now
and a member of an evangelical church. Please pray for my son and
his family; pray that they will accept Jesus as their Savior." -

Tuesday - 7
Praise God for blessing FEBC's International Council
Conference, held last spring in Busan, Korea and attended by 19
member nations. The Council meets annually to: discuss and
determine major projects; develop policy to implement the
projects; and to pray for discernment of God's will and direction
for FEBC's mission. Pray God will bless each field's
ministry!
Wednesday - 8
Thank the Lord for FEBC's international directors! Rev. Kevin
Keegan, national director of FEBC-Australia, writes, "The
conference showed me there is still much to do--and that God is
working mightily through FEBC International. We are a strong
healthy mission, Christ-centered, culturally sensitive and
Kingdom focused--and you and I are a part of it...so let's
continue to stand strong together."
Thursday - 9
Plans are already underway for next year's International
Council Conference, which will be hosted by FEBC-USA in
California. Please pray for President Gregg Harris, and for the
rest of the La Mirada team who are involved in the planning and
preparation process. Pray that this event will be a blessing to
all who attend.
Friday - 10
FEBCanada's missionary to the Khmu people group writes:
"Please pray for the dozens of key Khmu Christian leaders in
Laos, who are doing wonderful follow-up work in nurturing
believers. They need the Lord's wisdom, protection, guidance and
strength; they travel quite a lot, and are often confronted with
difficult challenges in their work."
Saturday - 11
"Whenever I miss your broadcasts, my heart feels empty. Your
message really challenges me--it wakes me up from my spiritual
drowsiness." Please pray for this and other Khmu listeners.
Sunday - 12
Praise God for FEBC-Thailand's staff, who have steadfastly
continued to produce programming throughout periods of dangerous
civil upheaval. One Thai listener from a Buddhist family writes:
"FEBC is usually the only station I listen to. I will not turn
away from following the Lord. Sometimes I grow tired and
discouraged, but I look up to heaven and am encouraged to keep on
going...thank you for your broadcasts!"
Monday - 13
Continue to pray for the director and team at FEBC-Thailand.
The director writes: "Praise God for the safety of the staff in
Bangkok as they travel daily to and from work in the midst of
crisis in the capitol...pray for God's sovereignty in the
situation."
Tuesday - 14
Thank God for the four and a half hours of programming which
is aired to Vietnam each day via shortwave... in Vietnamese and
18 other minority languages! Pray for the in-county workers as
well as for the US team, which is headquartered in La Mirada.
Pray especially for the director as he leads the ministry into a
challenging yet exciting future.
Wednesday - 15
Please pray for FEBC Vietnamese Ministries' new initiative
called "Internet Broadcasting via Mobile Devices" (IBMD), which
gives cell phone users the ability to hear gospel messages and
music... via a small memory chip and portable playback unit. Pray
for discernment and guidance during the current stages of
development, and that God will greatly use the chips already
prepared for distribution. Pray also for fruitful partnerships
with American churches; pray they will be inspired to participate
in this new endeavor.
Thursday - 16
Today is FEBC's monthly Day of Prayer. Please join us in
praying for the management, staff and field representatives of
Feba UK, which serve in Africa, Southeast Asia and the Middle
East.
Friday - 17
Thank the Lord for FEBC-Australia's council: David Atkinson
(chairman), Alex Ralston, Les and Sandy Ridge, Brian Fenwick, and
Ric Lever...and for their national director Kevin Keegan. Pray
for God's wisdom and discernment as they lead the ministry, and
ask that their "hearts will continue to remain soft and open to
God's Spirit and His guidance."
Saturday - 18
From the team at FEBC-Australia: "Even though we have an aging
donor and supporter base, pray that the good news of what God is
doing through FEBC will become more widely known throughout
Australia. Pray that He will draw a new and younger generation of
supporters to connect with FEBC, and also inspire them to begin a
partnership with us."
Sunday - 19
Please pray for FEBC-Australia's missionaries David and Jan
Bayliss. Pray that God will sustain and encourage as they
constantly travel and provide technical support and training in
various FEBC fields. Pray for health and good communications
cross-culturally. Also pray for their home assignment planning
and for arrangements commencing in October.
Monday - 20
Please pray for Batjargal (Bat) Tuvshintsengel, director of
FEBC-Mongolia, and for his ministry and family. Pray especially
for his daughter Crystal, who graduated from high school last
spring and needs God's direction as she plans the next steps in
her life.
Tuesday - 21
From FEBC-Mongolia: "Please pray for our rural outreach
efforts, that as opportunities are presented, we'll be able to
cooperate with local churches and NGO'S to make our programs
available. Pray also for the launching of our Internet
broadcasting."
Wednesday - 22
Now that FEBC-Mongolia has completed their 2010-2011 budget
process, they are ready to "face a new year of ministry in the
grace of our God. Pray that there will be more partners who can
stand with us; pray that our donors will be strengthened
financially to broaden their ministries."
Thursday - 23
Pray for Suvdaa, FEBC-Mongolia's Development and HR director,
who is expecting her fourth child this month. Pray for the team
as they search for an interim person to fill in while she is
absent. Also pray for their need for an 'expat' communications
officer.
Friday - 24
Thank the Lord for Luke Cheng, La Mirada's Vice- President of
International Ministries. Pray for God's strength and protection
as he travels frequently to visit and support various fields in
Southeast Asia. Pray especially for a trip slated for this month,
when Luke will be leading a group visiting FEBC's ministries in
Vietnam and Indonesia. Pray that it will be a fruitful time for
all.
Saturday - 25
Praise God for Seiji Suzuki, FEBC-Japan's assistant executive
director, whose responsibilities include personnel
education/management, the Data Base System, and planning new
programs. Ask God to give Mr. Suzuki wisdom to carry out these
important responsibilities, and the empowering of the Holy Spirit
in all he does to lead the team.
Sunday - 26
Please pray for Takanori Nagakura as he helps write plans for
each of FEBC-Japan's new programs, and then connects with various
people through traveling, attending meetings, and book reading.
Pray for God's special wisdom and guidance as he seeks out gifted
people and specialists who can not only discuss a certain theme,
but also clearly confess Jesus Christ.
Monday - 27
FEBC-Korea requests prayer for a staff revival retreat planned
this month for the Busan team: "Please pray that this will be an
opportunity for the renewal and encouragement of FEBC-Busan...and
for God to touch the staff members' hearts with His warm
love."
Tuesday - 28
"I am finding great spiritual nourishment from you...so thanks
for all the work that you put into this ministry!" - Praise from
South Korean listener
Wednesday - 29
Thank God for the director of FEBC-Myanmar (Burma), who has
served there for many years. Pray for God's wisdom and clear
guidance as they begin a leadership transition period.
Thursday - 30
Praise God for this Burmese listener's testimony: "I went to
Bangkok to find a job... was arrested for overstaying...and put
in prison. I thank God for placing me in that situation, because
my time in jail led me to your broadcasts. Your programs gave me
direction and I began to consider the kind of life I had been
living. I'm especially thankful that I came to know the Lord
through your broadcasts...and I thank you for your messages that
turned my heart around."
