Transmitter Engineer
Operate/maintain KFBS transmitters, antennas and associated equipment to ensure reliability and on-air availability. Design and implement changes to transmitters, antennas and associated equipment. Work with the Chief Engineer and staff in the proper operation and repair of transmitters, antennas and associated equipment. May provide back-up support in various areas relating to the on-air operations of KFBS: programming, administrative and general maintenance functions. Qualifications include a BSEE or equivalent with studies in RF. Bible school training/equivalent required.
Radio Engineer
Includes various aspects of the installation and maintenance of shortwave, MW and FM transmitters and antennas. May also be involved with calibrating equipment, designing procedures and routine maintenance programs, providing technical training and advice in troubleshooting and repairs to broadcasting equipment, promoting safety consciousness, and ensuring compliance with local international radio regulations. May also be involved with elements of audio engineering as well as computer-based interface for systems control. Technical qualifications include a BS degree in electrical engineering or equivalent and basic computer competency.
Information and Computer Services Technician
Includes maintaining and repairing computer-related hardware and software, including computers used in production and play-out of digitized audio files. May also provide assistance and training for staff, oversee company network and advise managers of new developments that can improve existing system. Technical qualifications include training and experience in computer technology and knowledge of Windows and NT-based software. BSEE in computer related fields helpful.
Program Traffic Librarian
Receives, catalogs and schedules radio programs as prescribed by FEBC Language Consultants; edits and installs program material daily on digital computer; maintains programming documentation in accordance with FCC regulations. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent and two years general office experience with good working knowledge of PC compatible computers and Windows operating systems.
Antenna Rigger
Provides maintenance and improvement of radio towers, antennas and transmission lines to ensure maximum on-air availability. Implements preventative maintenance schedule and maintain grounds surrounding towers to provide a safe working environment. Qualifications include experience in rigging, arc and gas welding and general mechanics.
Business Administrator
Functions as business administrator in support of local ministry or radio station. In addition to overseeing business and financial affairs, works with and provides support to field leaders and serves as liaison to support offices. Qualifications include experience in business administration.
English Language Assistant for FEBC - Korea
Provides English correspondence and translation for the field. Records all US donations and handles US bank accounts for the Korea office. Responsible for coordinating travel plans and schedules for Director of FEBC-Korea. Assist international guests and travel as another English speaking staff member for the field. Qualifications include experience as a secretary or administrative assistant, and excellent English both written and oral.
